The Pickleball Wise publishes educational pickleball content designed to answer a specific question or solve a specific playing problem. This policy explains how we research, write, source, and update that content.
Our current content
At present, The Pickleball Wise focuses on informational articles about rules, scoring, skills, strategy, positioning, and training. We are not currently publishing product reviews or “best” buying guides. If commercial content is added later, this policy will be expanded before that content is published.
Rules and factual claims
For rules questions, we prioritize official governing-body material and current rulebooks where relevant. Secondary sources can help explain a rule, but they should not override a current primary source.
Strategy and skills
Strategy articles are written to be practical rather than absolute. Pickleball decisions depend on ball height, depth, balance, opponent position, partner position, skill level, and context. We therefore prefer decision frameworks and trade-offs over claims that one shot or tactic is always correct.
First-hand experience and research
We do not present research as personal testing. We do not claim to have used, tested, measured, or compared something unless that actually happened. Practical playing experience may inform how an explanation is framed, while factual and rules-based claims are verified separately when appropriate.
Sources
When a source materially supports a rule, number, clarification, or factual claim, we aim to link to it in the article. Primary sources are preferred when available. Sources are chosen for relevance and authority, not simply because they support a predetermined conclusion.
Updates and corrections
Articles may be updated when rules change, new official guidance becomes available, internal links need improvement, or an explanation can be made clearer. A correction should improve the article itself rather than be hidden behind a new URL whenever the original page still matches the same search intent.
AI-assisted workflow
AI tools may assist with research organization, drafting, editing, formatting, and site maintenance. They are not treated as an authority. The responsibility is to verify important claims, use appropriate sources, avoid invented experience, and publish content that gives the reader something useful beyond a generic summary.
